The objective of the player is to achieve a higher score than the dealer.
Upon pressing the 'Deal' button 2 cards are dealt to the player and 1 card to the dealer.
Players automatically stand if achieving a total of 21.
Players can stand (remain on current total) or hit (take additional card) on any total of less than 21.
If the player's hand exceeds a total of 21 they have busted and lose their bet.
Dealer must draw to 16 and must stand on 17 or higher, including soft hands.
Dealer only draws cards if at least one player hand remains active.
If the dealer's hand exceeds a total of 21 they have busted and all remaining player hands win.
If the dealer achieves a total of 17 or more and is equal to the player's hand a 'standoff' (draw) results.
The game uses 6 decks. Decks are reshuffled at the completion of the betting round.
Aces count as 1 or 11. All picture cards have a value of 10. All other cards have face value.
First 2 cards only totaling 21 is a Blackjack (any 10 card + Ace).
Blackjack pays 3:2.
If the first 2 cards dealt to the player are of the same value they may be split.
A split stakes a bet equal to the original bet on each hand.
Split hands are played separately, with each hand resolved in turn after one card is delivered to each hand.
Hands may only be split once
Splits resulting in an eligible double score may be doubled.
If you split Aces, only one card is dealt to each Ace. If a ten-point card is dealt to either Ace, the hand is treated as a 21, not Blackjack.
If the first 2 cards dealt to the player total 9, 10 or 11 they may be doubled.
Split hands in which the first 2 cards total 9, 10 or 11 may also be doubled.
A double stakes twice the original bet on that hand.
Only one additional card is dealt to a doubled hand.
Dealer's Blackjack takes all bets other than a player's Blackjack, which is a standoff.
Players can place up to half of their original bet as Insurance if the dealer's first card is an Ace.
If the dealer achieves a Blackjack Insurance pays 2:1.
If the dealer does not achieve a Blackjack all Insurance bets lose.
Malfunction voids all pays and plays.
